Doctor Depositions in Workers’ Compensation
Workers’ Compensation Section and Young Lawyers Section

The Young Lawyers and Workers’ Compensation Sections join in presenting this comprehensive program on deposing doctors in workers’ compensation cases, from the rules and regulations to tips and tricks.  The program will address the examination of attending physicians and respondents examiners, from both claimant and respondent perspectives.

Attorney Passaretti, is a 1990 graduate of Rutgers University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science. He attended the Quinnipiac University School of Law and received his J.D. degree in 1993. He wrote for the school’s Law Review and the Connecticut Probate Law Journal, and served as President of the Law School’s Mock Trial Society. Attorney Passaretti is admitted to the bars of the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, as well as the bars for the United States Federal Districts of Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Attorney Passaretti worked for the Law Office of Christine L. Harrigan, a staff counsel litigation firm for The Travelers focusing on the defense of workers’ compensation matters, where he practiced for three years before joining Montstream & May, L.L.P. in 1998 where he continues to focus primarily on workers’ compensation defense litigation. Attorney Passaretti is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and is the Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Workers’ Compensation Section, as well as the CBA’s committee on Continuing Legal Education. He is a member of the CBA’s Standing Committee on Specialization and The Committee on Professionalism and Legal Education. Attorney Passaretti has written and published articles on Workers’ Compensation in Compensation Quarterly and Connecticut Lawyer magazine. In 1998, Attorney Passaretti became a Coordinating Editor of Compensation Quarterly, and served as Editor-In-Chief from 2002-2008. Attorney Passaretti was an Adjunct Professor for the University of Connecticut from 1999-2002, teaching in their Paralegal Studies Program. He has lectured for Lorman Education Services and the State of Connecticut in the area of Workers’ Compensation practice and procedure and has been a Board Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist since 2001. Attorney Passaretti is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and since 2005 has been a member of DRI’s Lawyer’s Professionalism and Ethics Committee.

Zachary M. Delaney received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2009. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2012. While an undergraduate, Attorney Delaney interned with Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd, and while earning his law degree, he interned for Judge Christopher Droney. Prior to joining us as an associate in 2012, he clerked with the firm. Attorney Delaney sits on the Board of Directors for the University of Connecticut’s Alumni Association, Greater Hartford Chapter. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.

 

PrindlenewBrian E. Prindle, Law Office of Brian E. Prindle, Manchester

Attorney Prindle joined TKCK in late September 2009, and he will handle Connecticut workers’ compensation defense cases for insurers and employers.

Attorney Prindle earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in 1973, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1976. Upon graduation, Attorney Prindle worked as General Counsel of The Insurance Crime Prevention Institute, where he was involved in all aspects of investigating and litigating insurance and corporate fraud. He then served as managing attorney for Liberty Mutual’s in-house litigation department, managing and overseeing staff attorneys handling both insurance defense and workers’ compensation defense litigation.

Since 1989, Attorney Prindle has been a solo practitioner, concentrating solely on workers’ compensation defense cases throughout the entire State of Connecticut for insurers, employers, third party administrators and municipalities. Attorney Prindle is designated as a Board Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist, a distinguished certification issued by the CBA to those demonstrating competency, experience and skill in the workers’ compensation arena.
